The start of summer vacation signals the end of another year of wonderful activities organized by your Neighbourhood Activities Group (NAG).  Before everyone scatters for the summer, Erin and I need your feedback.  For many years Valley residents have enjoyed NAG events. However, over the past couple of  years we have noticed that attendance at a number of our traditional events has been declining.  This was especially apparent at this year's Family Day, Poster Party and even Valley Fair.

Our question to you, the residents of Hogg's Hollow is:  Are these events still wanted? If your answer is yes, please do tell us and feel free to offer any suggestions for these or any other events that may encourage greater participation.

Erin and I would appreciate your comments - both positive and negative - at your earliest convenience.   Please send them to  crosenthal@hoggshollow.net  and erin@hoggshollow.net.

Thank you in advance for your time.

June Book Club:

Date:              June 16th

Time:             9:30am

Location:      TBD

Book:             Little Beeby Chris Cleave

The publishers of Chris Cleave's new novel "don't want to spoil" the story by revealing too much about it, and there's good reason not to tell too much about the plot's pivot point. All you should know going into Little Bee is that what happens on the beach is brutal, and that it braids the fates of a 16-year-old Nigerian orphan (who calls herself Little Bee) and a well-off British couple--journalists trying to repair their strained marriage with a free holiday--who should have stayed behind their resort's walls.

Hope you can make it, even if you don't have a chance to finish the book…

as always, looking for volunteers for moderating/hosting...

Valley Teen Events:

The Fall Valley Teen Bungee Party was a great success.  We anticipate having another get together this spring.  If you would like to volunteer or if your teen wants to be part of the next get-together, please contact Perry (perryanne@sympatico.ca) or Jennifer (jennifer.fortier@rogers.com).

Tot Play Group:

A tot play group is up and running.  Valley Pre-schoolers are invited to join the play group along with their caregiver of choice. The adult care giver is would stay and chat over coffee and juice while the children have a chance to play and socialize with each other.

Contact Leslie Gage @ lvgage@rogers.com if this group is of interest to you and your child.

Although we aim to keep the web site regularly updated, please also check the notice boards to confirm times and locations in case of last minute changes.
